About The Event

Learn the process of making plant-based watercolour paints and techniques to paint using watercolours made from the unwanted invasive plants that surround Fernie! 

Participants will be taught a simple step-by-step process of how to make plant-based watercolor paints. In this two hour eco-friendly educational course we will discuss the destructive effects of invasive plants and best practices for harvesting invasive plants. Participants will learn tecniques for painting with these delicate watercolours; creating beautiful paintings using the pigments extracted from invasive plant species. 

All materials will be provided, participants are welcome to bring their own if desired.
