DONATE TO EKISC.
The East Kootenay Invasive Species Council works to minimize the threat of invasive species that impact the environment, the economy and human health in the East Kootenay region of BC, and we couldn’t do it without you!

As a non-profit, we rely on grant funding and the generous support of our community to operate. Your donation will help us continue to protect the East Kootenays from invasive species.
This summer, we were deeply saddened by the loss of David Pick, a beloved member of the East Kootenay Invasive Species Council board since 2019.

David’s passion for conservation and his dedication to protecting the East Kootenay region inspired everyone around him. Over his career with Parks Canada and later as an environmental steward in the Invermere area, David worked tirelessly to preserve the natural beauty and biodiversity of the places he loved most.

In memory of David, the Pick Family invites donations to honor his lasting legacy. As per his wishes, there will be no service, and in lieu of flowers, donations to EKISC will go directly towards preserving biodiversity in the East Kootenays — a cause close to David’s heart.

Your contribution will support EKISC’s ongoing efforts to protect the region from invasive species and ensure the continued health of its ecosystems, a vision that David championed throughout his life.
